A hole in the Box

Bagasi Address adalah yang paling besar saat ini untuk kelas motor otomatis penggerak CVT, roda ring 14, kapasitas silinder 110cc.

Akan tetapi sayangnya bagasi ini tidak memiliki lubang di bagian dalamnya, sehingga sirkulasi udara kurang baik. Dan apabila air sampai masuk dan tidak kering, maka bagasi akan berbau yang kurang enak.

Bagi saya yang senang detailing, hal ini sangat merepotkan, karena ketika bagasi saya cuci dengan shampoo, cairan shampoo maupun air tidak dapat keluar. Sehingga akan membuat waktu pengerjaan pencucian motor menjadi lebih lama.

Mungkin konsep Suzuki dengan tidak adanya lubang pembuangan air adalah:

1. Agar barang2 di bagasi aman ketika motor terendam banjir, karena tidak adanya akses masuk air
2. Agar barang2 tidak menjadi kotor

Walaupun dengan kedua alasan itu, saya tetap memilih untuk adanya lubang hawa. Maka saya pun mencoba mencari titik terendah dari bagasi. Dan ternyata posisinya adalah tepat di belakang baut pengikat bagasi ke sasis.

Saya siapkan bor dan mata bor 2mm, lalu melepas bagasi dari tempatnya. Dan mulailah saya membuat 2 buah lubang di bagasi untuk saluran pembuangan air. Setelah selesai, saya pun memasangnya kembali ke sasis.

Pelayanan Halo Suzuki

Membeli Suzuki Address di akhir tahun 2014, sebenarnya merupakan sesuatu yg cukup merugikan buat saya.
Karena akan terpotong libur Natal dan Tahun Baru, sehingga pasti akan terjadi delay dalam pengurusan Leasing dan pengurusan Plat Nomor di kepolisian.
Waktu pengajuan leasing leasing, prosesnya sangat cepat, malam saya bayar Tanda Jadi, besok langsung di survey. Mantap...
Untuk plat nomor, ini yang saya tidak suka. Sejak motor diantar sampai plat nomor turun, kepolisian membutuhkan waktu 1 BULAN!!! Lama sekali, ada yang salah sepertinya dengan sistem, atau mungkin birokrasinya yg rumit? Dunno...

Back to topik.

1 minggu setelah motor diantar, saya ditelepon Halo Suzuki untuk menanyakan pelayanan suzuki dan kondisi motor, apakah ada masalah atau tidak.

Saya beli :twothumb untuk Halo Suzuki. Sangat customer oriented.

Saat motor diantar, saya juga memesan Suzuki Original Accessories untuk meningkatkan utilitas saya berkendara. Tetapi hingga plat nomor turun, belum ada kabar ketersediaan parts tersebut. Bagian parts di bengkel mencoba menjelaskan, kemungkinan antrian cukup panjang untuk parts aksesoris.

Cukup kesal dengan hal itu, saya teringat dengan Halo Suzuki, fasilitas yang disediakan Suzuki untuk membantu pelanggan terhadap produk Suzuki yang dimiliki. Langsung saya telepon Halo Suzuki malam harinya.

Btw, Halo Suzuki beroperasi 24 jam. I like this.

Saya telepon dan mengeluh mengenai ketersediaan parts aksesoris ini, karena dibandingkan jika saya membeli barang online dari web luar, hanya butuh waktu 2 minggu hingga barang itu sampai di saya. Lha ini kok, produksi di sini malah 1 bulan saja juga belum ada kabar.

Dan Halo Suzuki mencoba membantu dengan menginput di dalam system mereka. Dan saya diberikan nomor 332247. Nomor ini dapat digunakan untuk melacak sudah sejauh mana respon Suzuki terhadap keluhan saya.

Hari ketiga sejak saya komplen ke Halo Suzuki, saya dikontak bengkel Suzuki bahwa parts aksesoris pesanan saya sudah tersedia dan bisa diambil.

Dan dua hari kemudian saya kembali dihubungi Halo Suzuki, apakah problem saya sudah teratasi atau belum. Dan katakan, sudah.

Again, :twothumb :twothumb buat Halo Suzuki.

New Cover ACV (Auto Cut Valve)

After changing the rear cushion, I continue to replace the carburetor ACV (Auto Cut Valve) Cover. So it will give a better fuel consumption, because no air leakage from the ACV.

ACV function is to cut of fuel pump pressure based on intake manifold vacuum pressure.

First, remove all screw that hold the carburetor. There are two screw, one on intake manifold and one on Case Assy Air/C.

Now you can see the Cover Assy clearly as the picture below.

As you can see, there is a gap on top of the cover that make the ACV didn't work properly.

Release the hose, and remove two screw with screwdriver. Then prepare the new Cover ACV.

Replace with the brand new Cover ACV and tighten it with a screwdriver. And plug the hose.

Check for any leakage from the cover.

Put everything together, and test it.

Before I replace the cover, the scooter fuel consumption only 1:32 kpl.
After it replaced, the new fuel consumption is 1:36 kpl.

Electricity Problem

Friday, November 23, 2007, at 9.30 PM I pickup my wife at her office. after running on a low fuel, finally we've got to the gas station. I fill my scooter with some of fuel. After that I turn on my scooter and push the starter button. But there is no reaction, even when I tried to turn on the turn signal. There is no electricity!!!

I should turn it manually with the kick starter right now. After it turn on, I run my scooter a long way home. I can see that the all of the electric circuit system isn't work properly. I should fix it as soon as possible, but I can't fix it right now, because it already late. Hey it 10.30 PM when I arrive at home.

Saturday, November 24, 2007, at 10.00 AM I deliver my wife to her office again with my another scooter. After that I buy a wire about 2 meter length just in case that there is something wrong with the wiring system.

At 2.00 PM I prepare some tools to fix the electricity system. Here it is:

1. Multimeter that has Ohm gauge
2. Medium sized screwdriver
3. 10mm socket with the extension

First thing we should do is, open the baggage. Remove four bolt with the 10mm socket and one big screw with the screwdriver in the baggage.

Remove the baggage from where it position. Look at the bottom of the battery and you will see a bolt that hold the box battery.

Remove it with the screwdriver and slide the box until you can see the two bolt that connecting the battery with the wire.

Remove the two bolt with the screwdriver to make sure that there is no electricity flow in the wire. So we are sure that everything is safe.

Open the red wire fuse box and check with the Ohm meter (multimeter).

Oh no, the ohm meter needle isn't move at all. I check the black wire fuse; the needle is moving. My conclusion is there is something wrong the fuse. But the wire in the fuse isn't break either. I unattached the fuse and try to discover the problem.

When I unattached it, the top metal part of the fuse is popping off. That mean the fuse wire is alright, it just slacks. Haha, I laugh at it. Only a slacked fuse cap!

I tighten the cap and keep it in case of emergency. I put a brand new fuse to the fuse box and try to turn on my scooter. It work!
